In Etobicoke, a daily program from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for adults with special needs with a focus on life, social and job skill training
Our Compass Program is a traditional day program and runs Monday through Friday. The compass program offers opportunities to continue academic learning from previous educational experiences. Parents/families work with staff to create personalized goals. The compass program also offers activities such as volunteering at local businesses/not for profits, recreational programs, outings and life skill training through grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning.
Our Compass Program also offers opportunities for social integration with peers and the larger community. Our belief is that through the facilitation of daily life skills we can continue to promote independence in our participants.
Participants interested in the compass program can attend on a full time or part time basis. Participants must be able to be supported in a 3:1 participant to staff ratio.
Concord is always exploring new interests to keep our fitness and try new actvities. This includes Yoga, Level Up Fitness, Curling, trips to Humber Gym, Hiking, swimming, and daily walks in our community.
Trips to various places keep us curious and excited. This includes Wonderland, Downeys Farm, Blue Jay games, Hot Docs, March Break Camp, Ontario Place, Happy Place Pop-Up, Lion King, The ROM, PAMA, and Pioneer Village to name a few.
We are always looking to support our community and a good cause. We are weekly at NUUD Foods preparing healthy treats in a factory, helping Cake Stars with large orders, being in the Santa Claus parade, volunteering at Food Shares Toronto, the Scotia Bank marathon, and running our own Concord Coffee Shop.
